Jay Brooks - President
On July 17, 2006 Jay joined Leaktite Corporation as National Sales Manager reporting to Tom Forsberg. In this position Jay was responsible for building strategic business partnerships with Leaktite’s major customers that leverage Leaktite’s strengths toward profitable growth, with a primary focus on Home Depot. He managed the customer service process and personnel, the customer supply chain and communications.
Effective June 16, 2009, Jay was elevated to the position of Vice President for National Accounts. While Jay’s core responsibilities remained those of National Sales Manager, the new position reflected the key role that Jay plays in Leaktite’s success.
Jay was promoted to Vice President, Director of Sales and Marketing on December 1, 2011 to reflect his duties as chief sales and marketing officer at Leaktite.
Between the years of 2011 and 2015 Jay became directly involved in operational and strategic direction at Leaktite and ultimately directly responsible for operational execution. In recognition of these duties Jay was named Leaktite’s Chief Operating Officer and Director of Sales and Marketing as of December 1, 2015.
In October of 2019 Rod Sparrow announced that he was stepping down as President of Leaktite Corporation and assuming the role as Chairman. Jay was named the new President of Leaktite Corporation and Leaktite West Corp. Jay is responsible for all major corporate decisions, ranging from day-to-day operations to managing company resources. Jay is the main point of communication between the board of directors and Leaktite Executives. Jay is the supervisor for top-level management and also oversees the sales team, and manages large account line reviews, and remains the primary point of contact for Home Depot, a position he assumed when joining the company in 2006.
Jay’s background reflects a strength in logistics and supply chain management. For five years prior to joining Leaktite, Jay worked for Georgia-Pacific Corporation (Retail Division), where he developed his experience by accepting positions of increasing responsibility in supply chain and customer forward facing roles.
Jay attended Dickinson College of Carlisle, Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. Jay also participated in international studies; The Dickinson College Center for European Studies in Bologna, Italy and Brooks School/Bishops School exchange program at Cape Town, South Africa.
